Executive Coaching: The Causal Factors

As we are well aware sustainable behaviour change is only made possible to the degree to which the drivers of behaviour are identified and explored. A key part of the executive coaching process is uncovering the causal

factors to actions and the essential strategies that can be used to uncover them.

Executive coaching is an art. A skill and a technique that if mastered can literally change the world. The one crucial component that makes executive coaching outstanding is its ability to create cognitive transformation. For a

process of deep discovery to be initiated, the hard wiring and core beliefs elements of individuals need to be examined. This is not an easy process for both coach and client respectively. Much of our childhood experiences

have moulded our thinking and emotions and are deeply embedded with us.

The challenging aspect to the executive coaching process is the fact that if the causal factors are to be identified it will be necessary to delve into the depths that most would fear to tread. So how best could this be

approached and what strategies can be used?

The first point in this discussion is an interesting one. It focuses on the degree to which the executive coaching professional is aligned to facilitate the process. How comfortable is s/he to guide the process particularly with a

willing but closed hearted client?

Questioning is key in the skill set. When the executive coaching process is more about asking the right questions than it is about anything else progress is most likely assured. Preconceptions about how the process unfolds

need to be shelved at all time. Often the executive coaching professional becomes caught up in the attainment of results and the process becomes tainted.

Another point for discussion is the choice of methodology. Do you put your attention on the key experiences in the past that have shaped current beliefs and emotions or do you rather focus on Logotherapy (meaning

therapy) for faster progression? This has been a long standing debate. Personally I am in favour of the latter. My executive coaching experience in trying both practices have led to undoubtedly discover how when the lack of

meaning in current reality is highlighted change is far more likely to happen in a sustainable and fulfilling way.

Another aspect of the executive coaching process in the area of sustainable change through the casual factor approach is anchoring the change in the body. In time of stress and pressure we often tend to revert of old

patterns of behaviour and use or cognition as our primary guide. When a change is anchored in the body is does not rely on the subjective mind for its fuelling. The body is the objective experience of our thoughts and when

we use the body as the default point for direction we are sure to cement powerful change.

A Consultants Guide to Understanding Business Insurance

Business insurance can be difficult to understand if youre not involved in accounting or law. When youre in the early stages of starting a business, trying to be sure that your assets are protected in the unfortunate event of a

mishap or a lawsuit is an added source of stress, in addition to attempting to decipher all the other complexities involved in setting up your new venture.

Its advisable to speak with an accountant or an attorney during the startup phases, because they can provide professional advice in a number of different areas related to running your business. It is possible, however, to

have a basic understanding of what business insurance is, what different types are available, and which types you might need before meeting with an accountant or attorney, and by doing so, you will be in a better position to

have a clear discussion with your advisor regarding the pros and cons of your various options.

What Are the Different Types of Business Insurance?
There are four general types of business insurance: Property, Liability, Workers Compensation and Specialized Liability Insurance. Property Insurance is needed to protect any buildings or other property owned by the

business, and is typically not needed by consultants, unless you operate out of a physical office that is owned by you, or if you use specialized equipment that is very expensive.

Workers Compensation insurance is needed only if you have employees, and is used to protect you against claims filed by employees who were injured on the job. This coverage will cover medical costs to pay for treatment of

injuries received on the job, as well as lost wages due to the employee not being able to report to work as a result of the injury.

General liability insurance covers against injury or property damage caused by mistakes that you made during the course of doing your job. Every business should carry general liability insurance as a precaution.

There are a few types of specialized liability insurance, including Errors & Omissions Insurance, also known as Professional Liability Insurance, Employment Practices Liability Insurance, and Directors & Officers Insurance. As

an independent contractor, a specialized liability insurance you might need to be concerned with is Errors & Omissions Insurance. Errors & Omissions Insurance protects you against claims filed as a result of errors or

mistakes you made in the course of doing your job, your failure to complete work as outlined in a contract, or the failure of your work to perform as outlined in a contract. It may or may not be necessary for you to carry Errors

& Omissions Insurance, depending on the industry in which you consult. Consult your legal advisor to be sure.

How Do I Know If I Need Professional Liability Insurance (Errors and Omissions Insurance?)
Professional service providers such as financial advisors, attorneys, insurance agencies, and accountants should also carry E&O. Other professions that might consider carrying errors and omissions insurance include IT

professionals, programmers, project managers, web and graphic designers, real estate agents, consultants, home inspectors, architects, and engineers. Professions such as software engineering are also subject to E&O.

Defense against Sex Discrimination

The protection against discrimination of employees is an essential part of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. This act prohibits employment discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex or national origin.

Under the law, it is illegal for an employer to discriminate employees based on gender, in any facet such as:

Recruitment

Job advertisements

Use of company equipment and facilities

Hiring

Promotion

Termination

Fringe benefits

Privilege of employment

Compensation of employees

Pay, retirement plans and disability leave

Other employment-related conditions

Sex discrimination may come in two ways:

1. Unequal treatment discrimination - This is when an employer treats his employers differently and unfairly because of gender.

2. Unequal impact discrimination - This happens when an employer implemented rules that are unfavorable to one gender. Unless those policies do not recount to a bona fide occupational qualification, it is considered as sex

discrimination.

Points to Ponder

Pregnancy Discrimination

There are employers who do not hire a pregnant woman merely because they have doubts that she cannot do her job well or might not take her position seriously.

This may be considered as an act of discrimination. Note that, pregnancy, childbirth or other medical-related situation must be treated equally and fairly just like other impermanent illnesses.

Equal Pay Act

There are employers who do not give equal payment to his employees, which sometimes are based on gender. Say, men are granted with higher wages than women are.

However, according to Equal Pay Act (EPA) of 1963, employees must be paid with same amount for equal work and performance under same conditions.

EPA protects both men and women who perform considerably equal work in the same institution or company from gender-based wage discrimination.

Raising a claim against the employer

You should be aware that if you experienced being discriminated and gender has been the basis, you could have possible discrimination claims.

Civil Rights Act of 1991

This act provides monetary damages in cases of intended employment discrimination.

Any act of discrimination is illegal. You should be aware that, regardless of the gender, you should be treated equally and must be paid fairly.

Once you became a victim of sex discrimination, you have the right to file a discrimination claim against your potential employer. And if proven that you were discriminated intentionally, you will be provided with financial

damages.

On the other hand, it is advised for you to hire attorneys who would represent your legal claims. And your first consideration must be an attorney who is expert in handling sex discrimination cases.

How will an attorney help you?

Men and women must have an equal and fair treatment in the workplace. If your potential employer has discriminated you in anyway based on gender, your attorney will help to find out what you can do.

Attorneys who have expertise in sex discrimination cases will help to solve and provide remedy to your case. With attorneys at your side, your claim will surely be a win-win case.

Ebay unfortunately scams a seller, fraud stock deserves to drop

Ebay unfortunately scams a seller, fraud stock deserves to drop

First off, a few months ago I had over 90 positive feedback with 100% satisfaction on ebay. This was earned over years of transactions. Unfortunately ebay recently made some changes that really hurt my business in several

ways. Including my business reputation, pocket book and lots of wasted time.

I have been selling on ebay for years, however I began selling web site hosting services on ebay quickly within one month racked up over $400 promoting my products and business. I was offering a discounted auction to give

ebay users a great start up rate on web site hosting. I was offering them an introductory rate of $.01 or $1 for a few 1 - 3 free months of services.

I soon found out that other ebay users were buying my auctions and not signing up for hosting services, therefore costing me a large amount of money. I later complaned about this (see below).

After some research I found out why I was getting a lot of people buying my auctions and not signing up for my services. Turns out that ebay created a search function that gives ebay users better rankings if they have higher

feedback rankings. Additionally ebay implemented a feature that requires a certain amount of feedback for users to be able to sell on ebay . So in essence what was happening was people were bidding on my auctions that I

paid ebay for, sending me (often times) one penny and then requesting positive feedback. This had me outraged because it was costing me large amounts of money to list these auctions and costing a lot of money on

marketing. Then a lot of my auctions were being taken down by fake bidders.

Another thing that ebay did was remove ANY SELLERS ability to leave negative feedback about buyers that treat sellers poorly, which makes absolutely no sense because sellers are the only people that pay ebay . These

people that help make ebay succeed in the stock market are the ones getting treated terrible and not being able to protect themselves from buyers abusing their system.

Fake bidders kept requesting I leave them positive feedback after sending them a penny. I wanted to leave them negative feedback, however since ebay removed this function, I was being held hostage by all bidders to leave

them positive feedback because they are the only ones that can hurt my credibility by leaving me negative feedback. If I didn't leave them feedback and they sent me money, they had the right to leave me negative feedback.

On 9/4 I sent an email telling ebay the following: (exact message below) I have several hundred listings for hosting online. The reason I listed all of these online was because I thought since people were bidding they were

going to sign up for the service I was offering. So a few hundred dollars later, it turns out 3 out of 4 people are bidding on my items just to hold me hostage for positive feedback. This is terrible and expensive. How can this be

resolved?

Get The Most Out of Your Next Instant 10 Minute Oil Change by Knowing Your Cars Status

It is helpful to know when and how often you need these services performed for your car. Heres a list of the most common areas of car maintenance and how to find out if some component of your vehicle needs to be addressed.

When the time comes for your next instant 10 minute oil change, you can get the best service when you know what state your cars in. These days, many instant 10 minute oil change locations offer a plethora of additional services. Being aware of what you need done will benefit both you as well as the instant oil change service crew and will assure you that all extra services you receive are performed in a timely fashion.

Some instant 10 minute oil change services are able to change your tires. This can be a great and convenient service. But you should have some idea of your tires condition. Most tires should be replaced after 40,000 miles, but with the wide range of vehicles and large selection of tires available nowadays, that number could vary greatly. Be sure to check with your auto dealer or tire dealer and see how long your tires are built to last. Some may require changing earlier, and even if you have a set that are built to last extra long, it's still a good idea to see how theyre doing when they get around the 40,000 mile mark, just to be safe. Your tires are some of the most important aspects to giving you a smooth, safe ride, so you can really never check them too often.

To effectively check your tires condition, move your car out to the driveway to start your inspection. It is best to check your tires outdoors, during the day, where lighting is decent. That way you'll be able to see more of the tire and you'll be able to look more closely and thoroughly. A quick way to check tread wear is to grab a penny and stick it in the tire's grooves, with Lincoln's head pointing into the tire. If you can see the top of his head at any point, then that means your tires are sufficiently worn and you should consider a new set.

All four tires should wear evenly. If you notice that tires on one side of your car are smooth and worn while those on the other side are pristine, your car may have axle alignment issues. Likewise, if only a single side of a tire is worn (one half is smooth and the tire's other half isn't), then your car axle may be misaligned, bent or overloaded. If your tire's wear is inconsistent and if your instant 10 minute oil change provider offers tire service, then the employees should be able to recommend the best course of action to take. If there's a strip of wear down the middle of the tire, then you have too much air in them. If there's wear on the inside or the outside, then that means your tires are lacking air.

The best and easiest way to make sure your tires are running smoothly is to check the air pressure once a month. Your vehicle's manual should list the recommended pressure level. The pressure rate should also be stamped on the side of the tire as well. If you can't find the pressure amount, 32 pounds per square inch (psi) is a decent level to keep your tires at until you can get a valid reading. The service members at your instant 10 minute oil change spot should also check the tire's pressure. An under or over pressured tire can be dangerous and waste gas.

How Hydrogen Fuel Cell Cars can give you the Gas Mileage Improvements you have been looking for

as prices may have dropped by a couple of cents over the last few days but with the current trends you can bet that it wont be long before they go up yet again. The days of cheap oil and gasoline are sadly a thing of the

past. So if you have any sense you should still be looking for ways to make gas mileage improvements on your vehicles by any means that you can. Along with the latest and most promising ways to improve gas mileage and

get more mpg are the hydrogen fuel cell cars.

Hydrogen fuel cell cars are just standard cars that have been converted to use water as a supplement to ordinary gasoline. This is achieved with the use of a DIY hydrogen fuel cell or (homemade hydrogen generator), a

small device that provides HHO gas. This HHO gas is then mixed with the ordinary gasoline + air mixture in your cars engine. As this mixture of gases burns with a lot more efficiency and power it gives you fantastic gas

mileage improvements. (Notice that I said "supplement" as there are some claims out there that suggest you can run your cars on water alone, which is ridiculous)

One of the best things about hydrogen fuel cell cars (apart from the great gas mileage improvements you get) is that you can convert your existing vehicle easily and cheaply. You do not need to take it to a garage or have a

mechanic working on it for days on end. With just a few inexpensive parts that you can buy at any hardware store, and a simple to follow guide to show you how to build a hydrogen fuel cell you can convert your cars in a

matter of hours.

Once you have converted your cars into hydrogen fuel cell cars you can expect to get gas mileage improvements of between 35. You will also notice that you have a smoother ride and a lot more power, this is due to the

cleaner burn that you get, and you will also expect to get less wear on your engine and a lot less harmful exhaust emissions being pumped into the atmosphere.

Another plus with the DIY hydrogen fuel cell is that it is completely reversible, so if you ever wanted to take it out again you can do so without causing any damage to your engine. But with the great gas mileage improvements

that you will get the only reason I can see you wanting to remove it for are if you sell your car and want to keep your homemade hydrogen generator to use in your next vehicle.

To learn more about hydrogen fuel cell cars or to find a first class guide to show you how to build a hydrogen fuel cell you should be able to find more than enough information on the internet. With everyone trying to find ways

to make gas mileage improvements to their vehicles the DIY hydrogen fuel cell has really caught on and there are dozens of good guides to show you exactly how to go about it.

Restaurant Review: Red & Green Steakhouse, Atlanta

A Brazilian business associate of ours was coming to town and we needed to throw him a welcome party. Last time we brought someone in from his firm we went to Fogo de Cho, a high profile Brazilian steakhouse here in

Atlanta, but the prices were too high for what we got, the service was so-so, and the atmosphere was too cramped and chaotic for us. On the advice of a photographer friend of mine, we instead headed to the Red & Green

Steakhouse.

If youre a diehard vegetarian, youll take easy delight in the salad bar, but once you get to the real meat of the issue, you may find the matter a bit too carnal for your desires. Its refreshing to see a bottomless-plate restaurant

take such a progressive view on the non-meat offering. They know the carbs arent the reason you came, but instead of trying to bury you in starch like almost everyone does, the Red & Green Steakhouse instead tries to

tantalize your taste buds into intoxication.

In other words, its easy to pass on mashed potatoes and gravy, but an assortment of fresh fruits rivaled only by the green grocer, and savory mixed green recipes you wont find anywhere else, these are things much harder to

resist.

But what really sold us was once all our guests had arrived, and we sat down to talk with Davi, we could all speak in conversational tones and actually hear each other without shouting. He stopped our waitress and brazenly

ordered a bottle of 96 Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon. You should have seen my boss shrink in his chair. Who has ever heard of, let alone might carry, such an unusual selection?

The way she said, "Let me check," didnt exactly instill us with confidence, but she returned with it, presented it to him, and the strangest speed bump in an otherwise ideal evening was magically avoided. I later pulled her aside

to ask if thats a common wine, and she said it was the last bottle they had on hand, but they may restock it soon. What is this, Fantasy Island?

We werent quite on the home-stretch yet, however. We still had all the meat of the matter to get through, and if anyone knows Gaucho-style Rodizio, its a Brazilian. To our delight (both for business, and for our dining

pleasure) the Red & Green Steakhouse only uses certified cuts of Angus beef, as well as top choice chicken and other elite grade products. The spice and preparation are done ideally, so as even our resident expert had to

admit it was a great dinner.

Whether youre going for a quiet dinner, or taking a client out to entertain, this hidden gem is one place where you can treat your guest to a meal as lavish as their own tastes will permit, without ever letting on that it really

didnt cost nearly as much as they might expect.

DirecTV Has No Competition!

The competition between satellite and cable television providers is getting hotter by the day. You may be asking, "Why?" Don't you receive the same with both? Well, actually, you dont. Satellite Television growth shows no

sign of slowing down, and if your read below you will understand why. nike dunkThe numbers and comparisons come from studies done in the first few months of 2007.

Compare DirecTV Programming Against Competitors

Cable service charges depend on the area in which you live, but the national average is around $40.00 a month. At my home in the Northeast, the Standard Cable Package is $50 for 74 channels. Take a look at what DirecTV

offers in the exact same area. DirecTV rates do not fluctuate depending on your location. You'll get more for what you pay - and not too mention that every package has its own set price. Where Standard Cable was $50 for

74 channels for my area, for $50 with DirecTV you would get over 185 channels plus your choice of a Showtime or Starz Movie Package for 12 months. There are nine unique movie channels in the Showtime package, and

twelve offered with the Starz package! You can understand where to get more out of your money without being an accountant. The cost of cable TV has grown, on average, 8.In recent years, it's been 2%. A lot of their

customers are wondering if this growth can continue. People who switched over to satellite, benefit from more than just a lower price.

Choosing DirecTV Satellite TV Means Free Deals, Free Add-ons, Free Equipment

When new customers sign up with Direct TV, they got lots of no cost perks. You won't hear the word "new" when referring to Cable customers. Let's consider: If you choose DirecTV, you get free installation of your free

equipment. Also, they will give you up to four receivers allowing you to watch four different programs in four different rooms at the same time. How much money will this cost? Nada. This doesn't cost anything, either. Cable

providers on the other hand are charging up $10 per room for thisecco shoes exact same service. With Direct TV, you also get to choose between a DVR (DVR) and a High

Definition (Hi-Def) Converter. Using your DVR, you can record and save 100 hours of your favorite television programs, and even rewind or pause live TV. HD receivers are essential if you own a High Definition Television or

you will not be receiving that awesome image quality you are pursuing. So, guess what this equipment upgrade costs you. Thats right. And that is free, too. And how much is it with Cable providers? The DVR upgrade is $5

more than the HD upgrade. The price could increase based on your address.

The Main Deciding Factors when Purchasing DirecTV Satellite Television

There may still be some of you who are not convinced. One may be that you heard local channels are only available on cable. That is no longer true because local channels can now avail themselves of the services of

satellite providers. Internet service could be another factor. Satellite service providers have just started to provide high-speed access to the Internet. It is normal to be skeptical and think if the satellite customer service is as

efficient as cable's. I apologize, but you are incorrect regarding this matter. Direct TV has been the top ranked cable service provider for more than 6 years. Most customers are pleased with their dish as you will be also.
